I Love Fall

Good afternoon! Joy here with a card made with supplies from the Classy Cards 'n Such on line store.  I love the cool crisp days of fall.

The paper is from a 6x6 paper pad called Harvest Lane by Simple Stories. I used the book mark tag from Blueprints 13 to cut the pocket insert. Then used my Dots Folder by Crafts Too for the pocket. The little tag and fall banner are in the Simple Stories paper pad.

Our Texas days are not fall yet - but I'm sure they will be here soon.  Now -- it's your turn!  Why not take this opportunity to show us a fall card and join us in the challenge.  We would love to see what you would do! You could be the winner of a nice prize!

Fall Watercolor

Hi, it's Jenny posting today with a card inspired by the new challenge.  I only used one Memory Box die on this card, but it is so lovely it can stand on it's own.

I cut the oval center out with the main Memory Box Country Fence Oval Frame die. I colored the die cut with distress inks, trying to use more muted greens so the grass didn't look too spring-like. I set the die cut aside to dry, and took another piece of white card stock and created a background.

I misted the background paper using Tattered Angels Pearl Glimmer Mist. It has a lovely sheen to it. Then, I sprinkled the new Ken Oliver Color Bursts over the damp paper. The colors spread and blend together so nicely. It's also a lot of fun to do. The background looks like an impressionist or maybe pointalist painting.

Finally, I glued the die cut to the background and positioned the white oval frame around the die. I then took the whole project and mounted it onto a light blue A2 sized card.

Thanks for visiting and make sure to check out this week's challenge for a chance to win a great prize.

Power of Pumpkins

Good afternoon, friends.  Mindy with you today to share my card for this week's inspiration challenge on our blog, titled Feeling Fall-ish!

My card, for the Power of Pumpkins is inspired by the beautiful white pumpkins in the photo. There are so many wonderful pumpkin flavored food and drinks available now that fall is here. (I think my favorites are the pumpkin coffee's and the pumpkin ice creams.)

To start my harvest card, I took a piece of the Echo-Bronze Stardream Metallic paper, from the Classy Cards 'n Such online store, and using the Distressed Addington Collage die by Memory Box, cut two panels out of the bronze stock. I popped this panel up on the card base with two layers of Joy! Large Foam Pads to give the card lots of dimension.

I then cut six oval shapes with a classic oval die in two sizes for my pumpkins, along with one Open Scroll Leaf die from Impression Obsession. The pumpkins were highlighted with a little Wink of Stella Glitter Pen, and grounded with a strip of the Woodland Border by PoppyStamps.

To complete my card, I  stamped the sentiment from the I Am Thankful stamp set from Impression Obsession, die cut with an decorative oval die, and then highlighted with the glitter pen.

Thank you for joining me today, and I hope you will join in our challenge this week.

So Thankful

Hi, Diane with you today, to hopefully inspire YOU
to join our challenge this week which is Feeling Fall-ish!

I put this card together first by using a Sizzix, Susan's Garden Laurel Wreath embossing folder. There are numerous embossing folders in the store to choose from.

I embossed it on Champaign Neenah Pearlized Metallic card stock. So very pretty, with an elegant shimmer.

The pumpkin was cut with Memory Box Stitched Pumpkins, using the largest of the three. The card stock I used for the pumpkin  is Cryogen Curious Metallic, giving the pumpkin itself a bit of shimmer.

The tiny flowers I cut using the Impression Obsession Hydrangea Set. Each little flower was colored with Pan Pastels Flower Coloring Kit.The colors from the kit I used are Orange and Red Iron Oxide. I also used the Paper Blossoms Tool Kit and the Paper Blossoms Craft Molding Mat to form my flowers. A suggestion if purchasing the Pan Pastels, a good idea is to also purchase the PanPastel Lids. These keep you colors nice and tidy and safe.

For the leaves I used an Impression Obsession Small Flower die set. The branches are Memory Box Meadowbird Branch.

To finish I added a last snippet I had of orange ribbon
and a sentiment I had on hand.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Time For Fall

Hello, Diana here with more of those lacquered leaves as promised! The beautiful foliage is part of the reason I love fall...that, and knowing all the mosquitoes will die soon.

For this fall challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such, I started with a white base using the largest die from Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A. I then made a cut out border using Impression Obsession Square Cutout Border. When I took it off the acrylic plate, some of the squares were still attached, and I really liked the look of the some of the squares staying inside.  So, when I attached the white base layer to the Kraft base, I added some Art Institute Dries ClearAdhesive with the attached Metal Tip, and applied adhesive to the squares to keep them.

I then stamped in pigment ink, and added Clear Detail embossing powder to the stamp, from ODBD,God's Timing stamp set, (not in CCNS store), and matted it with the same Kraft paper as in the base layer.

The little leaves from the Impression Obsession Small Leaf Set were colored with Distress Inks, and embossed with ultra thick embossing powder.  I popped them up with Joy! Small Foam Pads to look like falling leaves.

Thanks for looking and I hope you get to see some beautiful foliage wherever you are!

Colors of Fall

Hi, it's Shirley today! Our challenge this week is to use the inspiration picture with pumpkins and flowers to make a fall card with no Halloween.

Starting with a brown card base and layer it with a piece of dark yellow card stock.

I cut the birch trees using the Impression Obsession Birch Tree die. I adhered them to white card stock and smudged them using a gold ink pad. I cut all the colored leaves using a punch. I attached them to the card using Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive

I cut the deer using the Impression Obsession Small Deer die using gold and brown card stock. I then added the Impression Obsession 6-in-1 frame.

I cut a banner and stamped the Fall sentiment on it as the final step to my card.

Thank you for popping in to look at my card. I do hope you will be able to join us for the challenge!

*A quick note - there are also die cuts of leaves available in the store. They are included in the supply list below.
