Gilded Ornaments

Hello Friends, it's Gracie today! With so many gorgeous photos for our Christmas challenges I am feeling inspired.

This week's challenge at Classy Cards 'n Such is Ornaments and Ribbons. I made a card in white and gold that ended up looking very elegant!

I started off by die cutting my white card base with the Vintage Flourish Pattern. Then I die cut two ornaments with Spellbinders Holiday Tags, also from white card stock. I wanted to give the ornaments a different look, so I decided I'd stencil it with Pearlescent Embossing Paste, using the Large Damask brass stencil. I applied the paste using the very useful Palette Knife. Once dried, I used a baby wipe to add some Inka Gold - Yellow Gold to the edges of the ornaments.

I die cut some Small Blooming Poinsettia, by PoppyStamps, from Riccio Astrosilver Embossed Metallic cardstock. I adhered the poinsettias to the ornaments, and embellished them with a few Silver Baby Rhinestones

I also stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs Silk Star stamp set on White Pearl Linen card stock in Gold Detail embossing powder. Next, I die cut the sentiment with Ornamental Tags Three, but I also used the same die to die cut a second tag from Precious Metals Craft Foil by Spellbinders. I cut a piece of the gold tag, the flourish in particular, and I adhered it to the white tag.

I attached gold string and gold bows to the ornaments, and mounted them to the card, together with the tag. Finally I added some more Silver Baby Rhinestones to finish the design.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my card. I invite you to join our challenge this week for a chance to win a prize from the store. Thanks so much for visiting today!
