Noel Ornament

Hi!  It's Joy today posting a card with products from Classy Cards 'n Such.  I said I would be posting another Christmas card from a great 6" x 6" paper pad from Simple Stories  Summer Fresh 6" x 6" paper pad.  I have loved this pad so much and I'm now working with scraps!  I hate to give it up, but next week I'll be getting my Christmas pads from Classy Cards 'n Such. Then I can really concentrate on getting those Christmas cards done.  Here is my "scrappy" card:

I used a stamp set called Noel Christmas Ornaments from JustRite .  The red gingham & kraft tag is one of the many tags in the Summer Fresh 6" x 6" paper pad.  I stamped the ornament with VersaMark on some of the blue paper in the pad and used Sparkle and Sprinkle White Detail embossing powder.

The tiny strips were made using an amazing die set called Allison's Ribbons, by Cheery Lynn Designs, and added some Red Pearls (on sale - just in time for Christmas projects).

Let me show you a little trick I discovered while cutting Allison's Ribbons.  This 2 part die cuts 12 different little ribbon type embellishments.  In order not to have little pieces all over the place I did this:

When using the die, I made sure to place the die below the end of the card stock.

Then snip only the one that I need.

Now it's easy to store!

Recap of supplies used for my card:

White detail embossing powder

I hope that inspires you to check out Christmas items from Classy Cards 'n Such and start your cards!  Have a Happy Stamping Day!

Beauty Blooms

Hi, it's Holly posting today.  I have a pretty one layer card to share with you today.  Yup, just one layer - the card base - is all I have on my card today!  :-)

I began with a white card base, cut to 8.5" x 5.5", and then folded it in half to make a regular A2 sized card.

For the embellishments, I started by laying down the Aqua Antique Floral Washi Tape on the right side of the card and and then cut it at an angle.  I added a longer strip of the Black with Pink Floral Washi Tape right below the Aqua tape.   Aren't those floral Washi tapes gorgeous??  I'm in love with these!

I stamped the sentiment from the Old Tea Rose stamp set (Flourishes) above the Aqua tape and set my card aside while I worked on my die cuts.

I cut the Gardenia Strip flowers (Cheery Lynn Designs) from a rose cardstock and glued the layers together.  I curled the edges of the flowers down with some hemostat tools, and  I sprayed the flower with Cranberry Zing Glimmer Mist.  This adds a gorgeous color to my flower as well as a wonderful shimmer.

While my Gardenia Strip flower was drying, I cut out some pale pink flowers from the Sweet William Strip (Cheery Lynn Designs) and glued the two smallest flowers together.  After pinching the petals with my fingers, I added White Pearls to the centers.  I also added a large white pearl to the center of the Gardenia flower after it was completely dry.

I set about cutting some leaves from green cardstock, using the Ivy Strip die (Cheery Lynn Designs), and the Wreath Strip die (Cheery Lynn Designs).  The Gardenia flower was glued down on my card first, and then I added the Ivy Strip leaves underneath my flower.  I glued the Sweet William flowers down on each side of my Gardenia flower and added more Ivy Strip leaves.  Finally, some Wreath Strip greenery was added around the Gardenia flower.

These flowers are so much fun to work with, and they pair nicely with these new floral Washi tapes.  I hope you try these new Washi tapes and create some classy cards to share with us!  :-)

Another beautiful floral card! Thanks Holly!

Love & Joy

Hi Everyone! It's Jenn and it's been quite a while since I've posted a card for Classy Cards 'n Such. I had to take some time off to care for my Mom and I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. Most especially Beverly and the ladies of the Classy Cards 'n Such Design Team.

Today, I am sharing a card with you created with one of the fabulous new Flourishes stamp sets, Holiday Topiaries.

I began with a square card base of 5.5" x 5.5". To that, I added one layer of patterned paper from the Holly Bright 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" paper pad by Kaisercraft. Then I added a green scalloped die-cut border that can be found in the back of the paper pad. This paper pad comes with 4 pages of die-cuts that can be used to enhance or complete your card designs. It's a must-have for all your holiday crafting.

After I had stamped and colored up my topiary, using my Copic markers, I used my  Decorative Labels Eight by Spellbinders, to die-cut the image out. Then I slightly over-stamped my sentiment over the image.

For finishing touches and to add that holiday feel, I die cut three snowflowers using Cheery Lynn Designs Snowflowers Set 1.

Since no card is complete without a little bling, I added Baby Rhinestones - Red to the Snowflower centers.

What a pretty card! Thanks Jenn!!

Simple Elegance

Welcome to the Classy Cards 'n Such blog today. It's Diane, here  to show you my "Simple Elegance" card I made for fall.

I love everything about this card starting with the gorgeous stamp set from Flourishes called Autumn Blessings. One of my favorite things about Flourishes stamps are the precise, perfect image you get with each stamp, making them a breeze to color!

Speaking of color, I used my Tim Holtz Distress Markers and Tim Holtz Water Brush on watercolor paper. There are so many colors to work with in this set, making an easy, easy job of shading!! You may purchase them single here.

I mounted my piece on my newest Spellbinders  Decorative Labels Eight die. I cut the die on Champaign Neenah Pearlized Metallic paper. I love this paper!  It is a nice sturdy weight and has a bit of a metallic bling to it!!

Underneath all this goodness, is a Designer Paper from Authentique Tradition 6 x 6 paper pad. There are numerous paper pads to choose from here.
Other items I used in the making of my card are:

Cuttlehug, large - this makes a onetime pass with the intricate dies, I use it every time!
1/2" Scor-tape - this sticks and holds!!
Joy! Foam Pads Small  - to pop up my image

Thanks for visiting with me today!!

An elegant and classy card!! Thanks Diane!!!

Remembering Friends

Hi, it's Joy today showing you a card made with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.  The card was made for a sweet friend that I have not seen in a while.  Using  Classy Cards 'n Such supplies makes creating special cards easy.

The filigree background was made with a Spellbinders die called Decorative Blossom Corner, there are two sizes in the set and this is the smaller one.  I also used the Floral Ovals and a regular oval Spellbinders die.

The stamp is from Botanical Medallions and Banners by JustRite Stamps.  This is absolutely one of the best sets around because it has a ton of images and some wonderful sentiments in lovely script.

The bow is made of Eggshell Seam Binding with a little special button by Webster Pages called Medallion Sparklers (which are on sale!).

The paper is from Simple Stories called Vintage Bliss.

Thanks for looking at my card. Set aside some time this week and make a card for an old friend you haven't seen in awhile!

Your card is so delicate and pretty!! Thanks Joy!!!

Sunflower Wreath & CLASSY FLASH SALE!!!

Impression Obsession stamps are 23% off through Monday evening, September 23, when you enter coupon code CFSSEP1 at checkout!  Click here to see all of the sale stamps!!  There are some wonderful stamps so be sure to take a peek!

Hi folks, it's Holly posting today!  Are you ready for FALL??? I know I am!  I've had enough of these 100+ degree temps and I'm ready for some crisp, cool, fall days.  Maybe this card will tide us over until the weather cooperates.  :-)

For this card, I pulled out my Blueprints 3 and Blueprints 4 die sets by My Favorite Things, and just mixed and matched until I got a neat layout for a card.  The wreath stamps from the Seasonal Wreaths by Flourishes, fit perfectly inside the large circle die from the Blueprints 3. I picked out the sunflower wreath and stamped it with a permanent ink and let it dry.  Then I went to town playing with my Tim Holtz Distress Markers and Tim Holtz Water Brush and colored in the wreath. The markers that I used are as follows:

Scattered Straw - sunflower petals
Wild Honey - sunflower petals
Shabby Shutters - leaves
Peeled Paint - leaves
Pine Needles - leaves
Aged Mahogany - wreath base and filler flowers
Fired Brick - wreath base and filler flowers
Vintage Photo - centers of sunflowers
Walnut Stain - centers of sunflowers

Once I finished coloring in the sunflower wreath, I set it aside to dry completely.

I pulled out the French Country 6 x 6 paper pad, by Graphic 45,  and cut the sunflower paper with the large rectangle shape from the Blueprints 4.  The coordinating yellow paper from the same French Country 6 x 6 paper pad was cut with the scallop border from the Blueprints 4.  I used the same yellow paper to cut two of the little tags from the Blueprints 3.

I stamped the "With" and "Thanks" from the Autumn Blessings stamp set by Flourishes, onto the two yellow tags. The sunflower paper was adhered to a dark brown card base with the two rounded corners at the top of the card. Next, I glued down the two sentiment tags on the left side and then cut off the excess that was overhanging.

With the sunflower wreath now completely dry, I centered it inside the large pierced circle die from the Blueprints 3 and cut it out.  I then cut out the arch shape from Blueprints 3 with dark brown cardstock and adhered the sunflower wreath circle to the arch.  I glued the arch down onto the card and then glued the yellow scallop border at the very bottom.  Some red twine was wrapped around the bottom of the card to finish this off.

It's fun to see how mixing and matching can lead to new ideas.  I hope you try one or two of the new Blueprints die sets and see for yourself!  :-)

A beautiful fall card! Thanks Holly!!!

Flowers and Friends

Hi, it's Misti!

I'm so thankful for a friend who keeps a good, positive attitude even when life isn't pleasant.  She's been without a job for over 6 months, but you would never guess it by her attitude.  This saying from the JustRite Poppies Labels Twenty-Nine set reminds me of her.

Supplies Used:
Daisy Today from Impression Obsession
Blueprints 3 by My Favorite Things
Tim Holtz Distress markers - Scattered Straw
Dots Embossing Folder by Crafts Too!
Vintage Blue 6 x 6 paper pad by Glitz Designs

I took a scrap piece of designer paper from the Vintage Blue 6 x 6 paper pad.  The white panel, is a full panel that I used the Dots Embossing Folder on.  The scrap piece of Glitz designer paper is placed on top of the dots and then I added a piece of Black/White Polka Dot Ribbon, Cami Sheer
to cover up that edge.

I stamped the single daisy image and the sentiment on my white panel.  All I needed was a little tiny bit of coloring with the Scattered Straw distress marker for the center of the daisy.

I pulled out the Blueprints 3 and used the scalloped border.

For the final touch  I added a couple of Black Pearls in opposite corners.

Everyone should have a friend in their life to be thankful for, and this is a great way to show them how much you appreciate them!

Your card is so cheerful and pretty! Thanks Misti!!

Pretty In Pink

Hi, it's Diane here with you today on the Classy Cards 'n such blog!

I had a bit of change of pace from making my fall cards and decided I needed a girlie pink card!

This card is a bit different as I used the Cheery Lynn Designs Chicken Wire die on an A2 card and let it overhang the base card, making it stand out a bit more!

Adhered with 1/2" Scor-Tape on top of the chicken wire is a Cheery Lynn Design die called French Pastry Doily Die I added the Cutie Fringe II for the large flower, and the Cutie Fringe IV for the two smaller flowers.

These Fringe Flowers are so much fun, so easy to make, and turn out beautiful flowers for your projects!!  I used Hot Pink Pearls for the centers of each flower.

I have enjoyed my time on Classy Cards 'n Such....thank you for having me Beverly, it has been so much fun!!

Your card is so pretty!! Thanks Diane!!! Diane may have completed her guest designer term, but I've asked her to stay on as a regular design team member and she has accepted!  You will be seeing more of Diane's beautiful cards!!
