A Christmas Card from Jennipher...

Check out this gorgeous Christmas card that Jennipher, a member of our Guest Design Team, made!   Here is what she has to say about her card...

Hi everyone! It's Jennipher here, for Classy Cards 'n Such. Today I am sharing a Christmas card with you that is made with just gorgeous patterned paper and cardstock. I know you don't want to think about Christmas, but before you know it, it will be upon us and if you're like me, I like for each card I send out to be unique.

Today's card is all about letting the gorgeous patterned paper and cardstock do the work for you! I love to stamp but there are times when I don't feel like coloring in the images and I just want to make a card that focuses on the sentiment. With a lot of the gorgeous patterned papers out there on the market from Webster's Pages and Prima, etc. you really don't need a stamped image to tell your story because the paper does it for you.

On this card, I have used the Waiting for Santa/Sweet Season collection from Webster's Pages. This is a wonderful collection with lots of potential for Christmas or everyday cards. Those blue pine trees clearly "scream" snow and on the backside is a wonderful snowflake pattern. So, really all I needed was a sentiment and a few embellishments to make this card complete. The snowflakes were punched from the Stardream Fuse Vista cardstock using a Martha Stewart Crafts snowflake punch. I added a bit of bling to them because snowflakes really do sparkle and wha-laa...the card was complete. Give it a try... let the patterned paper do the work for you!

Butterflies and Cuttlebug Highlights

Have you seen the new stamps in the Classy Cards 'n Such online shop?  There are designs by Tena Wenke, Mo Manning, Penny Johnson, Sarah Kay and the Laurence Collection as well as sayings by My Sentiments Exactly!  You can see them all here.  And even better...this week you can get 10% off all stamps by using the promo code STAMP10 at checkout!!

There are also two new embossing folders - Butterfly Frames (used on the card below) and Christmas Tree.   New Cheery Lynn products have also arrived this week.   As always Cheery Lynn Designs ship free as do Scor-Pal products.  A minimum $50 order is required which must contain only Cheery Lynn or Scor-Pal products to qualify for free shipping.

Here's a card I made using the Technique Junkies Cuttlebug Highlights technique with the new Butterfly Frame embossing folder.  I used chalk to highlight the butterflies and added White Baby Pearls to the flower centers and the center of the large butterfly.   A small Exotic Butterfly is the focal point in the frame.  I used Esse Smooth Pearlized White by Neenah paper and Stardream Fuse Vista for the large butterfly and the frame.  It's an easy technique to do!

Here's another of Pati Olson's wonderful cards!  Here are her comments...

This card made for Classy Cards 'N Such was so much fun to make. Don't you just love that peacock peeking out from behind the lattice fence? He is from the most wonderful 6x6 paper pack from Webster's Pages called Hollywood Vogue and Wonderful Fall. I have lots of plans for this super little paper pack!  The  French Pastry Doily and Exotic butterflies are made from a wonderful glossy paper. I wish it photographed as beautiful as it is but alas some things you just have to see in person! It is called Stardream Emerald and you can get it here. It comes in several colors. You will be so pleased if you try it. It is card stock weight and just sparkles.  Be sure to check out the Classy Cards 'N Such store. They have some super things and you can use my discount code Pati-10 until October 31st on your whole purchase.

Welcome Jennipher Lowery!!!

Today is Jennipher Lowery's first post as a member of the Classy Cards 'n Such Guest Design Team!  It's a really pretty card which features some of the outline stickers in the Classy Cards 'n Such shop.   But I'll let Jennipher tell you about it...

Today's card is an example of how you can create elegant cards quickly using outline stickers and just a few other supplies. I started by creating my card base from Reich Shine Champagne cardstock. My card base is 5.5 x 4.25. Using the Labels 18 from Spellbinders and Very Vanilla cardstock from Stampin' Up, I die-cut the large and small labels. To the large label I adhered the Tulip Window gold outline sticker which I then colored in with my Copics to give it that "stained glass" look. On the smaller label, I stamped my sentiment. Both labels were inked around the edges with Gold ColorBox pigment ink. I adhered the large label to my card base and then popped up the smaller label slightly overlapping the large label. On opposite corners I added the Gothic Corners gold outline stickers for the perfect finishing touch. This was super quick and easy to make and is a great idea for when you have to mass produce "thank you" cards. To make it even faster you can leave off the Copic coloring. These outline stickers are gorgeous with or without color.

Daisies and a rose...

Linda and I each have a card to share this afternoon.  I used the Spirelli Technique from the August/September 2011 Technique Junkies newsletter.  I colored the flowers from Flourishes with Copic markers and cut them out with Spellbinders Circles and mounted on a Lacey Circle cut from Emerald cardstock.  They are mounted on pale yellow from my stash embossed with the Daisies embossing folder.   I used gold metallic thread to create the Spirella and gold outline stickers for the frame and corners.
